Hello everyone. I'm with fresh install of 12.04, having gma x3100 on G31 motherboard.

I've seen some posts on this but I was thinking all available screen resolutions would be made available in Ubuntu 9.10 just as it is in XP.

I am trying to configure my laptop to behave correctly when dealing with video output. It has a connector for a base that features extra video outputs. Such hardware is detected and available in the display configuration, while I do not own such base and do not plan on getting one.

Hello,

I run F12. Since some days my laptop has become very sluggish. In Mozilla, switching between the tabs takes like seconds instead of fraction of a second. Also minimizing and mximizing windows takes long. Switching between the windows too takes long. Now I can't see the cursor while typing this post.

Hi, Can somebody explain how to make a multiple-monitor setup (where my screen is spread across several monitors)?

Using v185.18.36 nvidia driver on a notebook PC that uses the Quadro FX 2700M. I can't select 1680x1050 (it's not in the list) from the nvidia-settings. It drops from 1920x1200 to 1400x1050! If I boot the PC into Windows XP I can select 1680x1050 no problem. Here is what xrandr says:
