http://askubuntu.com – xrandr output $ xrandr xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default Screen 0: minimum 1920 x 1200, current 1920 x 1200, maximum 1920 x 1200 default connected 1920x1200+0+0 0mm x 0mm 1920x1200 77.0* My laptop screen should go all the way down to 640x480 (not that I want it to, but it is capable (I remember when when I had XP on here)) Practically, I want to be able to set the resolution to 1920x1080 for when I remote in from my desktop. Some more helpful outputty things: $ lspci | grep VGA 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Gr (HowTos)
