Ok, so I've got the 5650 as a discrete gpu and integrated 4200. The problem is that I cant switch to 5650.
fglrxinfo shows that 4200 is on, but aticonfig -px-list shows that Discrete GPU is active.
Hi everyone,
I just bought a Lenovo ThinkPad W500 with an ATI Technologies Inc Mobility Radeon HD 3650. The default screen resolution is 1900x1200, however I cannot find a way to decrease it.
I've installed the ATI catalyst control center, but even if I change the Screen resolution I see only a shrinked screen with black stripes around it.
I've seen several answers here which label HD 2xxx-4xxx cards as those which are not supported by new versions of Catalyst drivers and must use legacy versions instead.
Yet, this page seems to indicate that the HD 5650, although it's in a 5xxx series, is also only supported by legacy drivers.
Is there any clarity on this matter?

After I downgraded to grub legacy, I have the &quo
Hello,
I've been trying to install F18 on a Toshiba C870. It has AMD Radeon HD 6625M Graphics on board, which doesn't seem to be supported by the radeon driver included in F18. It is also not supported by the closed source Catalyst drivers (as per the AMD website compatibility list).
When I boot normally, all it shows is a black screen.
