Totally overwhelmed, but very enthusiastic about the possibilities. Retired for 3-years, I am never at a loss for things to do. Many hobbies, that I never had enough time for during my working life, are now consuming the very happy lifestyle I now experience. As I have a XOOM 2 running Android 4.0.4, I'm searching for further update for this device. I found that the EOS Team has released Android 4.1.2 nightly build for XOOM, but not the XOOM 2 version. Actually I haven't seen any 4.1.2 build for XOOM 2. So I want to ask, can I use XOOM rom on the XOOM 2?

Looking to buy PCI-E card that comes in 4G Xoom tablets. Looks like this:

If you're not paying Verizon for 4G service and you own a 4G Xoom tablet, this is directed at you.

I wanted to share this story since I've seen many threads saying it was OK and "Easy" to convert your Verizon Xoom to Wifi only...

My Verizon Xoom (with 4G), MZ602, is only rooted, and running CWM, but otherwise stock and running IMM76L. I wanted to try the Jellybean wifi update, figuring I'd seen many "GEDify your XOOM" postings, I thought I'd try..

I've been lurking for a few days now, and decided to register and start a thread since I couldn't find any solution for my problem.

Anways, I'll start explaining.

I'm using a Xoom 2, mz608 running on Android 3.2.2. I've rooted my device and tries installing this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1520476

After it tried rebooting, it ran into a bootloop.

Just thought I'd come and introduce myself to this part of the forum :) I just ordered a prime... I currently have a good old trusty Motorola Xoom which was starting to get to me because of the weight and thickness. I was going to go for an Infinity but it's out of my price range. Looking forward to getting my hands on the Prime and rooting it...

Hi, a few days ago I updated my Mz604 Xoom with USA stock rom and since then when I plug it to pc shows "connected as media device" and it remains even if it's unplugged, so I've tried every rom I have (USA, EU, Cyanogen...), wiped cache, Dalvik... but results are the same: the damn message "connected as media device" is still there.

Let me start by saying that I love my Xoom. I have loved it since the day I paid almost $900 for it. ($799 plus 9.25% sales tax here in Tennessee) I will be the first to say that it was not perfect at first, but through official OTA updates and third party ROMs, my Xoom has become the perfect companion and tool that I use at least 4-6 hours every day.
