Does the Lxde spin of Fedora support all the same software that the Xfce spin does? I use the Xfce spin on my other computers but I'd like to try the Lxde version on an older laptop I have ( I've read that the Lxde version is somewhat lighter than the Xfce version ) and still use all the same applications. Thanks for any information.

I have a laptop Lenovo G575. MS Windows works without any problems on it, but with Linux, it freezes during login or up to 10 minutes after power on. I have tried Ubuntu, Fedora 15 and 16, Fedora 16 KDE spin, Fedora 16 XFCE spin, openSUSE, Pinguy and possibly some other distro as well.

Have 2 boxes, old wheezer that had 50gb drive with XP and newer Dell box with 10gb drive
Installed XFCE spin on Dell box and farted around with it for a few days before taking the plunge. Pulled 50gb drive out of the wheezer and installed in Dell box.
The Fedora Xfce spin showcases the Xfce desktop, which aims to be fast and lightweight, while still being visually appealing and user friendly. The Fedora Project is pleased to announce the release of Fedora 20 ('Heisenbug'), which coincides with the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Fedora Project.
