Hi,would it be possible to compile the x86_64 octave with '--enable-64', to get the advantages of more than 2GB of memory?Btw, the current version of octave is 3.6.2, and in the repos is octave 3.6.1.Thanks

I added the development version of octave to ccr which features a qt based gui.Since qtoctave starts the octave version that runs itself with a gui, octave-hg and qtoctave are in conflict. The gui is quite similar to matlab and feels better than the qtoctave-gui.
After reading about GNU Octave's new GUI in version 3.8, I decided to play around with PKGBUILDs and the ABS to compile Octave 3.8.This is my first custom package. I originally did this to learn Arch's build system and try out Octave's new GUI.
My goal is to make that the audio recorded with SoX be sent through a pipe (or named pipe) to Octave, so Octave can run a script with some calculations (avoiding to do a wavread from a file).
How can i do this?
