http://forums.opensuse.org – i have a benq joybook r46. and it has a "intel gma x4500hd" graphics card.when installing open suse11.1 its giving a message that there is some problem with my graphics card,,, & after installation only shell is available. how can i get an x window out of my current configuration? what version of suse will suit me best? my computers configuration as follows: Intel® Pentium® dual-core processor T3400 Chipset Intel® GL40 Express Chipset Graphics Intel® GMA X4500HD Memory DDRII-667 1GB Drive 160 GB (5400RPM - SATA) (Distributions)

I tried different linux distro (Ubuntu 12.10 Gnome Remix, Fedora 18, Bridge Linux) on my new laptop but all of them have a problem with memory. My laptop has 4 GB memory but Ubuntu recognize only 2,4 GB. Obviously both BIOS and Windows 8 recognize all 4GB.

I have Mythbuntu 12.04 working fine except for enabling the Intel HD graphics GPU. While tuning OTA channels both processors almost max out.

I have ubuntu 13.04 64 bits I've tried a lot of things before posting here, but none have worked. This is my problem: I tried to play TF2, but the colors were wrong (blue screen with some other colors dispersed, I could tell that game itself worked only graphics were messed up). I need the right drivers for my card.

Hi, I've just installed Ubuntu 11.10 on a fairly old computer (1gb RAM, Intel Pentium Dual Core, Intel 946GZ on-board graphics). Running unity 2d is fairly snappy, but graphics seem slow in certain circumstances:

1. Certain games (hedgewars), FPS of only about 30 2.

I am trying to run FlightGear which apparently requires OpenGL. Whenever I try to run it, I get this error message:
