Hi there,
Thought I would document all the bits and pieces that I learned when trying to install Ubuntu on this Asus K52F-SX032V.
Please keep in mind I was trying to keep mythtv to version 0.21 for my own personal reasons, hence trying the older distributions first.

ASUS's 15.6in basic notebook has dropped another $100 and is now the first with a powerful Core i5 processor to go under $900 - a great deal if you can live with onboard graphics.
ASUS's 15.6inch notebook is the first with a powerful Core i5 processor to crack the sub-$1,000 barrier, the compromises being integrated graphics and a smaller drive.
Hello everyone,
I am going to buy an asus tf700t soon :D
But i have an important question: i've heard from some people that the digitizer can crack when closing with dock like a laptop, is this true?
If so has it already been fixed yet by asus or is it preventable in some way?
Regards,
Noahvt
I stream a lot of videos mostly on youtube. And many times the audio just crashes and I can hear nothing but the video works properly. I have to restart Chromium everytime the audio crashes. This has started to annoy me. Any help would be appreciated.I'm using a Asus K52f
Hello all.
I have a big trouble with Ubuntu 12.04.2 and 12.10.
After boot all works fine. But an uncertain time, my computer freezes. Only hard power off work.
I tried different kernels - have the same problem.
Memtest86+ says: no errors on RAM.
Maybe you, guys, have some idea how to fix it or why this happens?
Maybe someone have same laptop.
I am running Ubuntu 11.10 x64 on a Toshiba M505-S4940 using a Realtek wifi card. After closing and reopening the laptop, wifi is disabled and will not turn back on until after a reboot.
