I have a G5 that was working fine with a netgear usb wireless adapter. But last week the power went off for about an hour and when power was restored, the G5 was powered back on but the wireless adapter would not connect. It keeps cycling thru connect and disconnect continuously. I have tried a n usb adapter with no success.
I'm running 12.04. Every time I plug the ethernet cable into a router (and I've tried multiple routers) the wired connection connects, then quickly disconnects. It continues to do this, cycling through connected and disconnected.
Wireless connection works completely fine. Regardless of if I have the wireless adapter on or off, if I've plugged in the ethernet cable the cycling begins.
Good day all! I hope you are doing good. I have performed a WUBI installation of 12.04 on my HP G62 laptop, which has an Atheros AR9285 wireless chipset. Everything works fine with my wired network connection. However, wireless is unable to connect to my wifi network.
I am having some issues with my wireless connection. I recently upgraded to Karmic Koala, and everything still worked just fine - I had reliable wireless from both Ubuntu and Xubuntu. I don't use Kubuntu as much, usually just as a change of pace if I am just goofing off and not working - checking email, playing a little game, maybe writing a letter or something.
