Title says it all, looking for a Moto X. Would prefer one that's barely used or brand new.

Im new to this forum and was wondering if you could help me out with a little dilemma. I was Galaxy S3 user and Im now considering getting a Moto X but was wondering if the unlocked edition sold throu the Moto Maker is a developer edition and what are the differences between both of them.
I am reaching out to the community to ask a couple of questions, the main one being did anyone with the Moto X Dev Edition receive the OTA that the standard edition did? I only ask because I am considering upgrading from my standard, carrier unlocked Moto X (that still hasn't been updated) to an official T-mobile Dev edition.
So here's the deal, I unlocked my T-Mobile Moto X bootloader through Motorola's website about a year ago or so. I also rooted and didn't bother updating afterwards to anything since I had everything working perfectly for me.

Along with a new flagship Moto X, Motorola is taking the wraps off its new Moto G today, and the new version of its affordable smartphone continues to be one of the best values in modern mobile devices.
I'm a lil fuzzy on this. I know that T-Mobile said they were not directly selling the Moto X. When the exclusive with AT&T and Moto Maker expires . Should I be able to use the Moto Maker site to get a custom X that would be set for T-Mobile? By that I'm not saying unlocked though that would be great. I mean so that things like wireless calling can be done with it.
