Writing a search, copy and paste program

it's been a while since my CPU temp goes to 75°C and CPU usage is about 50% even if I don't run any process.

I'm trying to write to stdin and read from stdout ( and stderr ) from an external program, without changing the code.

I've tried using named pipes, but stdout doesn't show until the program is terminated and stdin only works on the first input( then cin is null ).

i've tried using /proc/[pid]/fd but that only writes and reads from the terminal and not the program.

I'm using an ftdi bridge chip, where I need to set the baudrate to 250k baud. I'm writing a program in C++ using the boost C++ librarys, every time i try to set the devices baud rate to anything other than the standard values an exception is thrown. I'm running fedora 12 and have printed the log bellow from when the device is plugged in.

I am writing a small application which needs to load the driver for the device into the kernel when the device is inserted into the PCI slot. My question is how the kernel notifies the user program or daemon that a new device is inserted into the PCI bus. Can anyone tell me about specific system APIs.

Assuming that i have Loadable-Kernel-Module inserted in linux-kernel and have hooked read, write, open and close functions. So now i can stop access to any file but i want to stop files from being copied outside the device like to a usb device, card, disk etc.

This tutorial will details the relocation of the device logs directory on the NSM server.

When I copy some files to the external memory device, the files cannot be discovered and accessed from other computer. Sometimes, Ubuntu shows no option to paste something in the external memory device (also no option to format the device). These are the problem I am facing. Please suggest possible solution.

I needed to start a python program in background i.e daemonize it,so I wrote a init script for this purpose.But the problem is that whenever I write the command

sudo start service solon_server(name of script)

the program runs but the init script doesn't return.
