I just bought a One X for a really good deal, and I found out it won't connect to the computer. HTC determined it is a hardware issue and it is eligible for a warranty repair, except one problem. I decided it would be a good idea to tear it apart and see if I could see a broken solder joint on the usb port, and I broke the void stickers.
Has anyone removed the NFC sticker from the back of their phone? Mine is (annoyingly) not on straight and was wondering if it is safe to remove (I.E it isn't some kind of super secret antenna for the NFC and by removing it I will kill the NFC lol)
Bought this card back in the day when EVGA offered their lifetime warranties. I have a copy of my invoice but when looking on their website it says that the sticker can't be torn or damaged. While cleaning it some time back a couple of the pieces flaked apart... the sticker is as brittle as candy between the time and heat.
The Bell store people are claiming I did internal tampering with my phone. I believe they have broken it. I really would appreciate if someone can take a pic of their HTC Vivid "void" sticker and post it on the forums, or link to an image...
