It also serves to inform you of whats going on around Wine. Wine is an open source implementation of the Windows API on top of X and Unix. Think of it as a Windows compatibility layer. Wine does not require Microsoft Windows, as it is a completely alternative implementation consisting of 100% Microsoft-free code, but it can optionally use native system DLLs if they are available. I have not downloaded Wine, nor can I find it on my computer. But I do plan to, probably after the final 12.04 release.

I have been to Winehq, read just about everything there, then went to the Wine Wiki and read just about everything there. And yet, I cannot find a detailed How To for wine.

Maybe I just missed it.

Hello, I've been trying to get Ableton Live working under Wine. There is a known bug and fix available for the rendering and exporting.
