This is the 361 issue of the World Wine News publication. Its main goal is to bring wine statistics back to the community. It also serves to inform you of what's going on around Wine. Wine is an open source implementation of the Windows API on top of X and Unix. Think of it as a Windows compatibility layer.
The Wine development release 1.1.23 is now available.

FBO mode is now the default for Direct3D.
Support for COM proxy delegation.
Improved support for the Mingw cross-compile.
Proper fullscreen mode for the virtual desktop.
