Hi,
I've been reading several threads on the forums about people having the same issue as me, which is unstable and slow wifi with the Realtek rtl8188ce wifi adapter. None of the threads have helped.

Hey, I have the rtl8188ce wireless card in a HP Pavilion g4-1215dx. Currently it is dropping links and still acting as though the wireless link is up & it is refusing to connect to some but not all wireless networks. In the same vein, it won't pull an IP address when it attempts to connect to a hotspot my phone makes, even though it is less than a foot from my phone.
I am running on Mac OS X, 10.8.2, Virtual Box. I have installed the guest addition and also the extension pack for USB.
I have already installed the linux driver for Realtek RTL8192CU, because that's the chip it uses.
When i run the lsusb command it recognizes it as Realtek.
I know that it is connected.
I am familiar with BT, been using it since BT3. The problem I have is with 5r3, when I use wicd to connect to the internet. I have BT installed in dual-boot with Windows 7, not in a virtual machine. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L875D, and the wireless chipset is the RTL8188CE, which I need to use the 8185 drivers.
I am working on a new Toshiba Satellite c855d, and this morning it had windows 7 on it. Wireless was working.
When I booted Ubuntu, wireless was once again working.
I install 12.04 onto it, and now the wireless connection is no longer functioning.
Wireless connectivity issues after lid close, sleep, or long time off also cannot change MAC all the time in the spoofer.
I have a Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5234 with Windows 7 dual boot.
I'm on a 2011 Lenovo Thinkpad T420i with a Realtek RTL8188CE WiFi adapter. Here's the scenario:
I pop in the Ubuntu LiveCD to install.
Hello Arch Forums. I have been experiencing some recent slow wireless problems. When I first start up the internet works fun but after just a few searches it seems the connection slows to a crawl and then fails entirely.
