On my desktop, I've got an IBM model M keyboard with a trackpoint built into it (attached via the PS2 mouse port). I also have a wireless USB mouse. My problem is that the mouse settings required for each are different.
((Yes. this is another wireless mouse-thread. I see several threads on issues with wireless mice, but when it comes to RF (Radio) mice it's mostly on glitches and tweaks. I only see threads on BT not working at all. So, this is one about a non-BT mouse that is not working at all.))
Slackware 12.x, xorg.conf, fvwm95, generic 3-button scrollmice, both known to be working. USB ports work for various other USB devices -- card readers, portable drives, etc.
I can't get behind my machine to disconnect my ps2 mouse (long story -- ps2 mouse was removed once, but USB mouse still didn't work), but I'd like to add a (wireless, if possible, but not necessary) USB mouse.
Hello, so I was trying to configure my mouse settings in Ubuntu 12.04 with my Microsoft Notebook Laser Mouse 7000. The mouse works fine but I really do not like the acceleration.
However, whenever I turn off acceleration, the mouse moves at an incredibly low speed. The two setting called acceleration and sensitivity do not seem to do anything.
hey all, im new here, just got ubuntu set up on my laptop, and i cant get my mouse to work properly, it is a microsoft wireless 4000 mouse, the system shows it as an input but when trying to use it there is a delay and its very choppy,i tried adjusting sensitivity and acceleration to either extremes and its the same on either setting,
sorry its a dell inspiron m5030 amd with 4gig ram
I have referred to a lot of tutorials on how to control your mouse cursor's movements and clicks by map these events to your own real mouse, but I noticed that everytime I must associate this mouse to one specified event in /dev/input/, if I didn't connect one real mouse, or if the linux didn't give the right event number on this real mouse, the program will definitely fail.
Hi.
I have a Dell Studio 1715 laptop, which comes with bluetooth, webcam, fingerprint reader, everything. I enjoyed ubuntu a lot in this laptop.... until I met this problem.
I bought a bluetooth laser mouse, which didn't work for me before. Can't remember the brand... now it happens all over again with a brand new mouse, so it can't be the mouse itself.
I've seen my mouse exhibit the most strangest behavior. It seems to be drawn to move, on it's own, without any action on my part, to the lower left hand corner of my screen. At first I thought it was just happening in Firefox but today I noticed it also happens when I'm viewing the desktop. I have to play this game of tug of war with the mouse cursor to regain control of it for awhile.
I run a HTPC which I recently upgraded 11.2 -> 11.3.
Most things work fine but I've got an oddity.
