If networkmanager is causing the problem have you tried using something else?I use netcfg and there's no problems shutting down here.

only one line in .xinitrc can start with exec, and it should be the one that starts your window manager or desktop environment.

The trackpoint parameters won't be used until X starts. Somewhere in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d would be a better place to set them afaik.Maybe this will help http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/How_to_co … org.conf.d

You should start a new thread as it seems your issue is resuming from suspend not a changing hostname.My guess is you have two things trying to do suspend/resume, systemd and the screensaver.

The PKGBUILD has a url for the slic3r website and there's a github address there too with a nice readme and the install paths are at the bottom, just ignore the $pkgdir at the front.HTH.

As that is not normal intel driver behaviour I think it must be a hardware issue. If you have another monitor and cable you could connect that and see if the problem persists.Cheers

I had to add boot options to the kernel to have my screen brightness keys working. afaik alot of laptops need this. I need "acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor" to have the Fn keys working and to be able to write to a file to change the brightness.
