Ok, my wireless adapter(WUSB600N) doesn't run when I log in. The driver is loaded on start-up but the green light is not on the adapter. I have to physically disconnect the adapter and plug it back in to get it recognised and it works fine afterwards.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi,
I am new to Ubuntu. I just installed Ubuntu Netbook on my Dell Latitude D610. I need a wireless USB adapter to use the internet. I decided to make use of the SMC EZ Connect g 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter, which I used on Windows XP. Unfortunately Ubuntu recognizes the adapter (lsusb in the terminal). But that's it.
Hi there,
I've been trying to set up my new PC to access my wireless network using a Linksys AE1200 Wireless USB Adapter. Unfortunately, Cisco don't appear to provide drivers for the device for Ubuntu, so I followed the advice in this thread to get the device set up.
Thanks to the comprehensive explanations given in that thread, I'm now connected to my network.
Hi guys I just bought a desktop which didn't come with a wireless adapter card, so I bought one of the USB wireless things..
However the speed I have been getting is really really slow.. About 1mbps when my laptop and ps3 is getting 25mbps..
I've tried plugging the wireless usb adapter into my laptop and i get the normal speeds..
Hello,
I just recently installed Unbuntu 12.04 on my desktop. It easily recognized the Belkin USB Wireless N Adapter (F5D8053 v4), but every 5 to 10 minutes it will stop connecting to the internet. It continues to show that it is connected to the network, but nothing will download and pages will not load.
I recently loaded Ubuntu version 12.04 onto my computer, and I have a WUSB54G v4 USB wireless adapter. I first tried to get it to work by simply plugging my adapter into an open USB port. This seemed to work fine, it came up with a list of wireless adapters, so I clicked on the correct one and entered the security code. It looked like it was going to connect.
I have a Compaq pessario CQ60, a wireless network, and a Atheros AR5001 Wireless Network Adapter and I cant get the wireless internet to connect. the wireless works fine on vista, and I got the internet working via cable, but I need to get it working wirelessly. I am a beginner to linux, but know a little ( nothing in terminal though).
Hello all, I am a fresh convert to the linux scene and I know virtually nothing about this beautiful piece of engineering.
I recently reformatted and dual partitioned to both Windows 7 as well as ubuntu 10.10.
Loading works fine and Windows 7 is 100% operational. I cannot seem to get my wireless network adapter to be read by Ubuntus 'Windows Wireless Drivers' gui.
