I am looking for a color laser printer recommendation.
Hi all,I have a Canon MP600 printer/scanner connected via USB to a small print- and scan-server running Arch (last update was yesterday). The printer is shared over the network and can be accessed from a Windows 7 client. But from time to time after 1-2 prints the printer crashes. I that happens, only a power disconnect can bring it back.
I have a Xerox WorkCentre 7535, and I'm running Fedora 13. I downloaded a PPD from Xerox's web site and installed it as a printer. Printing works fine, except that all of my printouts are greyscale. This is a color laser printer, and color printing works from Windows.
I've done numerous web searches and found nothing helpful. Why is my printer converting my color printouts to greyscale?
Guys, just setup my printer using CUPs and gutenprint v5.2.9..everything runs smoothly, except that the printer prints document, image, or anything very very slow..compared to that, i'm using my printer on windows, and it prints fast (standard)..is there any way to make printer prints fast??
FC16 64 bit. Have installed Brother HL2070 printer on 32 bit fedora14 no problem. I add a network printer via IP; it finds it and the queue. It says ipp and cups, I click forward (I can't find a printer driver at brother/linux), so I do generic postscript, point it to file in /usr/share/cups/model CUPS-PDF.PPD. It installs and seems happy and prints.... but it prints multiple blank pages.
Ever since installing 11.3, my Samsung CLX-3175 laser mfp no longer prints. It worked fine under 11.2 using the Samsung proprietary unified driver. That driver no longer seems to work under 11.3. The print job never leaves the queue and the printer must be rebooted (it is a networked printer) to be recognized by the operating system after deleting the job.
Because of my background with computers, my current employer decided to throw me into a project designing some advertisements and pages in our store's catalog. This was my first time doing anything like this. They gave me QuarkXpress and I learned as I went.
Since I use Linux, I would much rather use Linux to do this type of work in the future.
Epson Stylus NX420 (on wireless network)
Fedora 18, 64 bit
I am using Cups to print but the print quality is really bad when printing from my fedora machine. It prints normally on my windows7 laptop.
I've had this printer for a few years. I've used it on Slackware, Linux Mint, Puppy, and Lubuntu and have all worked fine. But for some reason it wont work right in Fedora 17 or 18. Ideas?
Sorry if someone else has this same problem...
