Hello all, I'm using Ubuntu x64 12.10, and I'm currently unable to install Borderlands using playonlinux or wine.
When I try to install using the POL present, it gets to the very last step where the VC C++ 2008 installer tries to run, and it puts out this error:
Internal errors - Invalid parameters received
If I try using wine, I run this command:

The script does create an icon in dash home, but does launch the program.
Any ideas guys ?

When I tried to run winetricks, nothing happened. Tried to run winecfg in terminal, got a message "wine: virtual memory exhausted". Needless to say, I can't run any programs with Wine.
I'm new to ubuntu, formally windows 8 disgusted and have switched my other computer over to ubuntu only. The only thing I want to run on wine is to download DB Weave (and possibly for netflix later). I'm very confused with the wine install choices.
