The two winning designs in the 2012 "Inspired by Linux" T-shirt Design Contest are now available for purchase in the Linux.com store.
The first place winner, Brian Beck, uses an "Inspired by Linux Arrow" design to illustrate the ideals of Linux and open source software community members.
And the second place winner, Sabrina Aqil, uses a red background and unique graphic to illustrate how "Linux
The Linux Foundation’s 3rd Annual Community T-shirt Design Contest opens to entries on May 16, 2012. This year’s theme is “Inspired by Linux.” The deadline for submissions is June 8, 2012 at 11:55 p.m. PT. We invite you to take that kernel of an idea and turn it into an inspiring T-shirt design for the Linux community to wear proudly.
Congratulations to the five finalists in The Linux Foundation's 2012 "Inspired by Linux" T-shirt Design Contest! This year we received just shy of 90 contest entries and competition for the finalists was tough. A special thanks to the entrants who submitted their artwork for consideration.
Today is the day! We're announcing the winning design and designer in our Linux.com T-shirt Design Contest.
Our winning design, with 57 percent of the vote, is "The People's Product" and was submitted by Said Hassan of Gaza in Palestine.

Linux.com: The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of Linux, today announced the winning design in its Linux.com Store T-shirt Design Contest, "The People's Product." The design won by a large margin with 57 percent (4,501) of all votes cast, with the other five finalists sharing 43 percent of the vote among them.
Calls for papers were announced for CELF's Embedded Linux Conference Europe, co-located with LinuxCon Europe in Prague on October 26-28, as well as the Australian Linux.conf.au, planned for Jan 16-20, 2012 in Ballarat, Australia.

I'm inspried by a variety of things, both small and large: a really good cup of coffee, great art, contribution, reading the Sunday New York Times, sitting in the Linux kernel panel session at LinuxCon. But this year in particular, I'm more inpsired than ever by what is happening because of Linux.
