My wine sound stops working correctly after a while, and killing pulse-audio makes it work, but I need to do it all the time. Is there any workaround to fix this?

When I run WoW in wine the sound works only if no other sound is working at the moment. If I have a song playin in rhythmbox or sound playin in Vent the Wow sound won't work and after awhile I'm thinkin Vent ends up having errors because of this.
At first everything was working perfectly, but then after 10 minutes I got a bad sound.
I still get the bad sound and it's not localized to a specific application it's also in the wine test sound function.
wine version: wine-1.3.31
I have the winealsa driver. It's a new interface and all the old fixes doesn't work.
My system had this problem for a while that whenever I start a wine application that has sound other applications on the system can't play any audio/video. Every other sound source gets muted/frozen until the wine application is killed.
It worked fine up to Alpha 1 ca. after that; sound is a no-go! I can get it to work for about a minute, after which it dies. I tried a lot of stuff to no avail, of course there is the old remove Pulseaudio completely which probably works.
This problem seems to be opposite of any other wine sound problems, sound works beautifully in World of Warcraft under wine, but it remove all audio output for other programs such as Mangler and the system sound test program. I have tried starting programs before and after WoW to see if that will make the audio work but that doesn't help, I'm all out of ideas.
Hi, I've been having problems with getting sound to work with two out of three of my games that I have installed with steam on wine.
I've installed Borderlands 2, Dead Island, and Portal 2. Borderlands 2 works flawlessly and sound is great.
However, Dead Island and Portal 2, do not have sound. Although the graphics, and the game play is fine, there is no sound.
