http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I have fedora12 x86_64 I installed wine, but had trouble with it crashing on the audio tab in config every single time... eventually I found instructions to revert to the 32bit version (although as I understand it it's all really 32 bit and the one called 64 just does something differently, but I don't know what else to call it) and that worked. So now I have wine 1.1.38 and I installed EVE online (I just downloaded it today so I'm assuming whatever the latest version is). The install seemed to go okay, but now I get to the splash screen and it dies with this error: (HowTos)

hello-loving #! so far!  i'm trying to get the latest version of wine installed, ultimately so that i can play EVE online.i found this: http://dev.carbon-project.org/debian/wine-unstable/ for debian sidi've been playing around a little, but have not been able to get the latest version of wine running.any tips?thanks!

I wanna wine a windows .exe program. first time i wine it ,i get an error message :"mfc42.dll cant be found" then i install it with winetricks i wine it again, this time i get

"fixme:toolhelp:CreateToolhelp32Snapshot Unimplemented: heap list snapshot"

I just dont know what it means , can anybody help ?

I'm very confused about the Build Service Wine repository.

There's a package called "wine" with the version "1.1.34-1.1-i586"

There's a package called "wine-32bit" with version "1.1.34-1.1-x86_64"

Aren't those inverted?

Working on getting this mmo Voyage Century Online working in wine, im using Ubuntu 12.04LTS amdx64, I have PlayOnLinux installed along with the latest version of Wine.

Can't remove wine 1.4 rc5 34 weeks 2 days ago

I installed Wine 1.4 rc5. Later I realised that this wine won't work because there is no sound. I removed it using Synaptic Package Manager and installed Wine 1.2 which is the stable version of Ubuntu 10.04. Even though I install it. It's still showing Wine 1.4 rc-5. How can I remove wine 1.4-rc5 and install Wine 1.2 ?

Been unsuccessful in trying to install wine on my 11.3 KDE4 x86_64 system, from the Emulators:Wine/openSUSE_11.3 repo.

This is what my zypper throws up:

I have just downloaded wine-geko package and used it to install MS Excel and Powerpoint. However, not all of wine entries can be found in the menus.

Has anyone noticed that Wine in F12 (we no longer have the i386 build, only the x86_64 build available in x86_64 systems as in F11) winecfg crashes when trying to configure any audio controller and one is installed?
