Windows user have full effective rights from his computer

http://serverfault.com – We have a Windows 2003 single domain. A share located on a server have full rights for every authenticated users. Under this share, a folder is read-only for everyone (except Administrators group). Everything work as intended. I discovered one user who, from his Windows 7 pro workstation, have full access on this folder. He can do whatever he wants. If he log on another computer, he have read-only access. When I display effective rights for this user FROM his workstation, I see he have every boxes checked. When I display the same thing from the server, I see correct rights. This user belong (HowTos)

I have a security mystery :) Effective permissions tab shows that a few sampled users (IT ops) have any and all rights (all boxes are ticked). The permissions show that Local Administrators group has full access and some business users have too of which the sampled users are not members of.

I want to set a Group Policy or something like that for old domain user and for new domain user, in a way that the domain user must not be able to see each other folder and files.

By default, Every terminal User login into Terminal Server, can open and read folder and files. I want to deny this open and read folder rights for every domain user except the owner of the folder and files.

I'll get straight to the problem, which is quite urgent, so I hope someone here will be able to help me :)

I'm administrating a big Ubuntu 12.04 server, and my user recently lost sudo rights to this server. I was the only admin on this server, and don't have physical access to the server, so I can't use recovery mode to fix the problem.

I've noticed a number of similar questions here on this topic but not quite on the money for the issue I'm seeing.

I have a few conditions to meet with a new samba setup.I want to migrate a windows based share to a linux samba share. However this time the share is in the regular corporate LAN and I do not have the rights to add this samba server to the corporate windows domain.

Hi! I use still OblyTile 0.8.8 to create because I will have no problems as a normal user Tilles. Au the folder with the icons I have given every user change rights. So I can from each account no problems. However, if I try OblyTile 0.9 I am asked each time for Admin access.

What has changed in OblyTile 0.9?
