Hi
My Asus Zenbook UX32 has a 500GB HDD and I would like to dual boot it.
Hello,
I want to install Ubuntu along Windows 7 and I was told not to choose dual boot because of the fragmentation of Windows. My computer is fairly new and doesn't have many files. If I were to defragment the computer and give ubuntu 5gb of space using the dual boot option, could I extend the Ubuntu partition later?
(Windows says I can shrink the drive down to 436.5gb out of 911gb.)
Hey Guys
I have always been a big fan of Ubuntu. I used to use it on my desktop computer here at work until I needed a Windows environment for the software that I now have to use.
I wish to install Ubuntu at home but there is a small problem, one that I know you experts would be able to help me out with.
The problem is that I am an avid gamer.
I have a 1TB hard disk running windows 7 on my Dell Laptop. I partitioned it into two drives one having 900 GB and the other drive having 100 GB. I installed Ubuntu alongside windows 7 and ran it successfully. The dual boot also worked for the first two times but after that when I opened my Windows drive in ubuntu it showed no files.
what games can I play on linux? I've heard you can't play the same games on linux that you can on windows, is this correct?
if not, which ones can't I play? Can I play all my zsnes rom games on linux? What about demos like call of duty world at war, and left 4 dead and battlefield bad company? Thanks
Hello Group,

My hard drive has 2 partitions - C: (user files) & D: with Windows installed on D: (free space about 50 GB).
Right, didn't have much luck with the google-fu I normally do, so here I am.
I recently decided to finally finish a job I had started about 3 months ago, namely installing ubuntu as a dual boot with windows 7 on a 1.5 terabyte drive.
Many users use SSD disks (and I believe many more in the future) for their OS. 128GB SSD disks are common place nowadays and many users (like me) use their SSD for dual booting (Windows and Ubuntu). Ubuntu installations like this occupies 20-40 GB (/ , /home and swap). Up to now there was no problem. In a few weeks though, triple A games are coming to Ubuntu (i.e.
I am trying to dual boot on an external USB 500GB drive using my laptop.I have Windows 7 installed and booting on 1st partition 230GB now as active primary, 2nd partition is 100GB as primary, and 3rd partition is 135GB as primary. I was intending on installing Ubuntu onto the 2nd partition.
