Hi!
Is it possible to create a window (with GTK+, GDK, or by using OpenGL, or Clutter) that stays on the top of all the other windows, even over a full-screened window?
I want to create a small window that remains visible when I enter the full-screen mode of a video player (VLC for example).
This might be a strange thing to hear on a Linux website, but it's true: we're big fans of Windows 7. Is it because of the new features? Is it because of the new user interface? Is it because of the blazing speed vs Vista? Is it because it's anything but Vista? The answer is "no" to all those.
I was switching from Ubuntu Hardy Heron to Mandriva 2010. Now I want to install the MAC OS like dock, Avant Window navigator. Its very easy to install this AWN on Mandriva 2010 as long as you already activate the official repository on your Mandriva 2010.
Stardict uses a tray icon , also allows multiple instance of itself , but sadly , i don't use a panel , so no notification area available.
But when I hit on close , it minimized to tray , is there a way to find its "Window" ? if the WId was found , activate this window by sending some X message ? I'm not sure if it's possible.
