http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Brothers from India and abroad please help..... There is virus in my windows and it just hangs after I select windows in dual boot. I tried my windows installation cd but it also does not run. I am able to boot to Fedora 11 from dual boot. and so am sending this message to you all. how can I access my windows files and run or delete windows software or if possible delete virus from Fedora Linux. My windows is on C: and F :. Please suggest, its a total mess as i have some files on windows which i cannot lose. If there is no alternative then please please tell me how to format windows from fedora so that at least I can run my windows installation cd. (HowTos)

Installed Fedora 16 x86_64 LXDE a few months ago.

Before installation I resized my C:-partition from inside of Windows so I could get some free space to install Fedora on (so I would be able to dual-boot with Fedora and Windows Vista). The installation went fine and Fedora is usable and all BUT I am not able to boot Windows Vista anymore!

I have Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation and Fedora 17, both OS are 64 bit, on dual boot. Windows and Fedora work OK, with one problem - i can not shotdown computer from Windows. When i hit Shutdown, computer begin shutdown, but there is no shutdown, only return me on windows login screen. Restart is OK, shutdown from Fedora also OK.

i installed fedora 17 lxde on my computer the installation was fine all the windows files are still there but my boot loader changed and when grub boot loader loads it has an option to windows but its a recovery mode xD. i believe thers nothing wrong with my dual boot installation since i have three partitions NTFS.

i have a bricked fedora 15(cannot run it, im stuck on a grub screen) and windows 7 as a dual boot. fedora is my primary boot but i cannot access windows 7 since fedora is bricked. my plan is to remove fedora 15 and run my windows 7 but i dont know how to do so.

Hello, the title says it all. I have Fedora installed on a 64GB SSD and Windows 8 on a 128GB SSD. The fedora has the first boot priority. I set up the boot data to be installed on the 64GB SSD (This was probably the problem but I want to make sure with you all).

ok i run dual boot ubuntu and widows xp i just got a virus on my windows xp. is it possible to format only the windows xp partition leave the ubuntu intact and still have it work in a dual boot?

Hello I would like to delete ubuntu 13.04, install Fedora 18 KDE on a laptop with windows 7( dual boot Fedora with windows 7). I want to keep the grub,or equivalent, boot loader (ie Linux loader not windows). I keep having issues with Ubuntu after every update. I want to try Fedora.
