https://bbs.archlinux.org – Hello all,Just did a re-install of Arch with gnome/cinnamon, running nvidia drivers from repos.  I have twinview set up, which is nice to have in linux.  Not sure if this matters, but my main monitor is a 1920x1080, and my second monitor is to the left and is 1680x1050.Whenever I open applications, or games, the windows spawn in the right monitor.  Is there a way to get them to open in the main (1920x1080) monitor?--nixIT nixIT https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=32871 2012-12-02T04:44:07Z (HowTos)

Thank god, I thought it was me.  Just installed linux on Sunday, and then reinstalled today because of the panels freezing.I read somewhere today, can't remember, that there is an issue with gnome 3.8.  --nixIT

@supersnail,Thanx for replying, yes, I tried the gnome-tweak-tool and that allows me to change the icon theme, and all the themes in my directory are showing up in the list. However, when I make my selection via the dropdown, the theme change is not reflected in the system.--nixIT

I am running a system running Ubuntu Oneric where i have a DVI monitor and an HDTV as my screens.

They are set up using nVidia TwinView. The monitor and TV are not side by side and the intent is to drag movies to the TV and then full screen it. The problem is that windows often open on the TV which I cannot normally view while sitting at the computer.

@neilzium,Thanx, worked on this last night but didn't get a chance to test.  I do have a question, and this may be an install issue, so here goes:How bit of an issue is the visudo step in the wiki?  During install I never installed visudo, since it was optional.  Do I Need to go back and install it?  or can I just skip this step in the QEMU wiki?--nixIT

Yes, it will do the 2560x1600 + laptop monitor in Windows 7 just fine.

My main monitor is set as primary in the settings. I wonder if nvidia's twinview have anything to do with things thing? Well time to bang things further!

New windows and dialogue window prompts have stopped opening in my secondary monitor my default.
