I've been googling around and trying every dumb trick in the book. I've switches from MTP to camera and back again, clicked on USB debugging... I can get my PC to recognize the device but as far as copying content over, it's really hit or miss.
Sometimes stuff will copy over just fine, but most of the time I get a big nasty popup telling me it won't copy files over anymore.
I have been previously copying films fro my pc to my nexus 7. But now i cannot do so anymore. I'm not a very technical person and i might have deleted something from its original files. Any answers please? And when i open my nexus 7 from my pc i see lots of files which i don't find when i open my tablet, like ebooks, books, movies etc. With lots of items in them that i don't recall of installing.
I have Windows 8 machine with Ubuntu One client (seems to be 4.0.0, released on 2012/12/11). I have checked that when synchronization is active I can not write any file in the folders sync'd.
Curiously, I CAN copy files in the folders using file explorer but I can not, for example, download a file there using web explorer, chrome, firefox, acrobat reader, etc.
I tried to copy a 6gb video file to my external memory card and I received an Explorer error message, when it was close to being completed, that the file size was too big for the device. I have a Sandisk 64gb card that I confirmed to be formatted to Exfat. I also have plenty of remaining space.
I have created a script that allows the user to select a file by copying and pasting that file. Then perform a grep on that file.
I am having major issues copying any media to a USB ie MoviesI have a media player that takes USB so i copy movies to a USB to watch them.In Arch anything i copy across gets corrupted, it copy's across fine but cannot be played. No error show any where.If i copy the same file from either Fedora or Mintlinux, no issue at all the file is fine and can be played.

I have recently installed 64bit ubuntu on my quad core intel PC.
One problem that I am having is copying files. The file transfer is VERY quck, you can see the file appear in the new nautilus window and nautilus even produces a preview image for it very fast. The problem is that when copying files there is a LONG pause/delay/halt after the file seems to have copied successfully.
I have created a script that allows the user to select a file by copying and pasting that file. Then perform a grep on that file.
