How can I list all permissions of a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Organization Unit to file? I need a readeble list in order to compare permissions with another OU of the same domain.
Thank you for help in advance.
Hi
How to gain the necessary permission to transfer files from my opensuse drive to my Windows drive. I can access the windows drive and call up files from it, but I cannot save file to it. I have looked at the permissions on the Windows folder but one is not able to change them. I have just changed from Mint linux and one could do this with no problems, can anyone help?
We need to migrate a Windows 2000 server that has shared folders to a Windows 2003R2 file server. We would like to move the file contents and permissions.
Please someone told me How to upgrade windows 2000 FTP Sever to 2003 FTP without any changes in Users & Users pass and folder permissions.
Exactly i have FTP Server (2000) and want to upgrade in 2003.
Main problem is that have a lot of users and folders which are working.
I had a Windows 2003 Hard Drive on my server and it went bad so I installed a new clean hard drive and installed Windows 2008 R2 on the new clean drive.
I'm trying to edit the hosts file on Windows Server 2008.
I right clicked on Notepad and Ran as Administrator, then opened the hosts file, but when I try to save it I get the following error message:
Cannot create the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file.
Make sure that the path and file name are correct.
Next I checked the permissions for Administrators on the hosts file.
I have two windows server 2008 servers. One is a web server one is a file server. A php script runs on the web server and is supposed to write to the other server. I am getting a permissions error.
I have given the full UNC path in the php copy command. I also gave IUSR read write permissions and it is still not working.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Our existing print server for our 8 printers is a Win 2003 server that is slowly being decommissioned. We want to move print services off this server but we want to move them to the right place. I don't want to make the domain controller a print server, nor do I want to use any of the other existing Windows Server 2008 R2 application servers.
So we have some folders which are shared over the AD Domain (Windows Server 2003). It was just noticed that in 2 of those folders (which contain only Excel and Word files), whenever a file is opened and closed, the temp file which was opened corresponding to that file still remains.
