Hello everyone. New to the forum but not to Ubuntu (though still not an expert of course). I was having a little problem so I thought I'd ask for some help here.
I currently have Ubuntu 12.10 installed through Wubi, and I had just recently upgraded my Windows 7 installation to Windows 8.
i have a Toshiba satellite c855d-s5307. it came preinstalled with windows 8.
i have since then "upgraded" to windows 7 in CSM boot mode and installed Wubi.
after about 5 minutes or so Wubi freezes up or the wifi disconnects. and restart is the only option.
when i tried to install from usb/dvd it will not detect windows and shows the entire hard drive blank.
I have a MacBook Pro.
I've heard rumours that if Windows 8 is going to have this thing called "Secure boot", Wubi cannot work.
I'm using Windows 8 (32bit) customer preview and installing WUBI Ubuntu 12,04.1.
I down loaded 32 bit installer from ubuntu dot com, The wubi installer says AMD 64 xt.
I had a previous 12,04 install and in the terminal typed in uname -a, it say's 64 bit.
I also opened detail from the system and it read 64 bit system.
Is it possible to install ubuntu with the help of wubi installer on windows 7 home basic(Sony Vaio) which is having 2 GB RAM, 320 GB hard disk, i3 intel second generation processor?????
Is there any BSOD error while installing using wubi? If there is any precautions please let me know. I love to use ubuntu and windows 7 simultaneously...Thanks for any help provided..
Hello and thanks for reading,
I really need help now, as I have a project for work stuck on an inaccessible Wubi Ubuntu install.
I currently have (had) Wubi installed alongside Windows 7 on my laptop.
I was finished using Ubuntu so I restarted back into Windows and went to do something while it restarted.

How to convert Wubi install into regular install?
I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS under Windows with WUBI.
Now my Windows XP started malfunctioning and I see this as the opportunity to leave windows and make Ubuntu as the only OS in my computer.
I could download Ubuntu and make a fresh installation.
Hi,
I would like to install Ubuntu 12.04 on my computer from Windows using Wubi, but I have a problem with it. Firstly I mount a CD image in a virtual drive via Daemon tool. Next I start Wubi, fill all installation fields, and then I click next. Then Wubi starts to extract files, etc.
