Apple’s iPhone release schedule has been predictable in the past when it comes to number of devices: each year, a single new smartphone. For 2013, that’s changed with the iPhone 5c, as for the first time Apple has eschewed simply bumping down the outgoing iPhone as a lower cost option, and has instead released hardware specifically designed to be more affordable.
Next week, Apple is expected to announce a new iPhone complete with a new dock connector, finally putting to bed the 30-pin design that’s been in use since time immemorial (so long as you can’t remember past nine years ago, like me).
Apple has just issued a press release revealing it sold 9M iPhones during the launch weekend of its iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s. As is typical for the company with new hardware, it hasn’t broken out individual model sales, but other signals point to a stronger debut weekend for the higher-end iPhone 5s than for the 5c.
Apple is cashing in big on three-year old tech, according to its earnings results last night. As the Wall Street Journal points out, it’s seeing the iPhone 4 leading to big growth in markets like India, and buttressing Apple’s fortunes against low-cost devices based on competing mobile platforms like Android.
Apple iPhone five Launch Delayed To 2012
Apple can be a primary mobile phone manufacturer which is common for its iPhones. After the unforeseen accomplishment of its iPhone four now Apple is planning to launch its iPhone five that is not formally declared but. It is being stated that Apple has delayed its release to 2012.
The iPhone 5 delivered a lot of new things vs. its predecessors, but it also marked Apple’s exit from the bumper game; unlike with the iPhone 4 and 4S, Apple didn’t make a slim band exterior case for this device to protect its delicate edges.
An ex-iPhone user is suing Apple, claiming Apple’s messaging system interfered with the delivery of text messages after she switched from an iPhone to an Android device.
According to Adrienne Moore, Apple’s iMessage retains SMS messages sent from other Apple users, and will not deliver them to her Samsung device.
Whether or not you’re an Apple fanboy or fangirl, it’s no secret that the iPhone has been selling like hotcakes. Every time Apple launches a new iPhone or iPhone(S), it seems that the Internet is about to explode.
