This is a new member here from Pakistan.
Switched from stock to Mwakious3D ROM . HTCUnlocked the bootloaded, flashed cwm recovery, then did not do a clean install but just ran the 15.0 base from SD card and then ran the OTA update~
The Wifi gives an error and won't turn on. Tried installing the wifix, uninstalling, buried it in the ground, grew some grass over it and burnt the grass.
In both 11.10 and 11.04 it's been impossible for me to get my laptop (a DELL XPS with the broadcom 4311 wifi adapter)
I think i found the solution. This is for all the ubuntu users like me (noobius maximus) so please, no flaming by the super-experts.
It basically involves deleting all wifi drivers, reinstalling some wifi drivers and then refreshing your wifi config info.

hello guys my wifi doesn't work i saw some posts and they said it is the kernal problem and u most change ur kernal
let me explain my problem better : i installed vipers 1.2.1 and it was great the only problem is wifi which i can not turn it on
some guys told me wipe cach+dalvik . then i wiped it and it fixed.
I've solved my WiFi problem already, but thought I'd share the solution here for anyone else having this difficulty.

the phone was rooted successfully but now i have a serious problem. i cant connect to my router using WiFi.

I`m facing a problem of my HD2 with wifi. I`m using ultimate droid 3.3 rom, and when I connect to router, after some time it disconnects, and after few seconds it reconnects again. It does not matter if you are close to wifi source or far, the wifi logo in top of the screen disappear, after few seconds it appear and connects again.
Any suggestions?

Following a Heroic effort here, my wifi problem has been SOLVED.
But, I celebrated too soon as I now seem to be Out Of Disk Space.
How can that be on a fresh install of Xubuntu?
I installed Xubuntu because I thought it was a small footprint version of Linux that would still work on this laptop which only has a 20Gb HDD.
Now, at the end of a long wifi troubleshooting exercise,
i have ubuntu 12.04. And my problem is that the wifi is disabled. It says that the wifi hardware is disabled and it does not switch on when i switch on the wifi . The control always shows that wifi is switched of. The same computer has windows too and my wifi works just fine in it.
can anyone please send me the solution to this problem
