Hey all,
So I'm currently running Xenon 1.5 (4.2.1) paired with Lean Kernel 5.6, but this is an issues I've had on all 4.2.1 ROMs that I've tried. It seems as though my phone doesn't want to stay connected to WiFi even though it has a strong connection.
Hi everyone!
I am currently running Ubuntu 12.10 on my Toshiba laptop and I am dual-booting it with Windows 7.
WiFi connection on Windows 7 is great, it occasionally drops the line, but rarely and it takes only a second to log back in again to my Uni's WiFi.
The internet indicates that after the 12.04 upgrade, there is a bug involving the constant dropping of wifi signal by network manager. I am having this problem as well, where perhaps once an hour, the wifi suddenly drops off, and network manager searches again for the wifi connection.
I've been looking everywhere for answers with no such luck. I notice when I try to watch videos via youtube or using skype or FB, or even if I'm not doing anything at all, the WIFI connection all of a sudden the connection drops for 2-10 seconds then reconnects again.
I am having a problem with my Wifi.
When I try to connect to a wifi network, and the first time it connects fine, and stays connected.
But if I leave, or disconnect, then it won't re-connect ever again. It spends about 2 minutes searching/connecting and then I get an error message saying:
"Attention
Network Disabled.
We experienced an issue while reconnecting to the WIFI network after an unavailability of the connected WIFI network. Our issue can be reproduced by following the below steps.
1. Turn on the Wi-Fi adapter if not turned on. Wi-Fi is connected.
2. Went out from WiFi coverage area. Wireless manager display WiFi ‘unavailable’. Then after about 5 seconds, it shows ‘connecting’.
I've had my Razr Maxx for ~a month now, and i love it so far. Up until now, I havent had any problems related to data, but as of today, it randomly loses it's wifi connection, then shows a network being available.
It will let me reconnect to my network, but not automatically, and I have to type in the password again.
HI
I have installed F17 on a new Acer Laptop that belongs to my wife. Release 17 (BeefyMiracle) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 3.5.3-1.fc17.x86_64 GNOME 3.4.2. At what appears to be random times the Wifi connections drops. A reboot brings it back but what could be causing this dropping of the wireless connection?
G'day people,
I have an IBM ThinkPad W700 running 64 bit Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. At the office I normally connect it to the Ethernet since it's never connected very reliably to the wifi there (drops out 2 or 3 times per day, usually at the worst possible time, of course), but it always worked just fine with Netgear WGR614v5 at home...
