I have iMac in company connected both lan and wifi, where wifi is for public network & lan is private.
is there any configuration to connect both wifi and lan and setup always use wifi, but make exceptions to some server use lan (e.g. svn, intranet)?
For now, i can just make wifi with higher priority and disable wifi if i need to connect svn.
I met an issue when I need to collect the wifi ssid around my android device and then submit these information through wifi connection using http post. But then I found that when I try to scan the wifi signal (interval is 1 min), the wifi connection would break sometimes.
This is probably a stupid question but I have wifi disabled on my laptop running ubuntu 14.04, and I access the net through an android phone via usb, and that android device gets ITS internet connection through wifi. Is there any way that I can use network scanners and such through usb0 interface? Or a way to bridge the connected device's wifi scanning capabilities?

Now someone has said doesn't the S3 come with that function well while i was looking at my phone i have seen there is a option to switch between wifi and mobile network and also you have a wifi timer,So is that the same as what wifi matic would be doing?
i dont have access to the router. so i found a work around. from the market download and run fxr wifi fixer. it will ask you to reboot. dont do it. next go to your wifi screen and go to menu advance and click static ip. the enable your wifi. let it scan a few times. then disable wifi and uncheck static ip. the re enable wifi. and connect to the desired network.
