I am just new to Ubuntu so bare with me, so far I love the Operating System, but I don't seem to be able to get my Wi-Fi to work. I have a Sitecom 300N x2 USB Dongle with 8192SU chipset, I used ndiswrapper to install the Windows Driver I have for it, and it says hardware present, but I'm not able to configure wireless networks nor does it find one. Can someone help me out?
Hi,
I am a newbie, who's trying to migrate from windows to ubuntu 13.04.
However, i cannot get my wireless usb stick (sitecom n150) runs properly.
I have tried to follow the installation guide, and successfully installed the driver to my desktop (i check via the command "ndiswrapper -l" and get the response "net8192su: driver installed and device (0df6:006b) present".

Hey everybody,
I am seeking some help in regards to getting my wireless card to work. I have used the sticky as well as read through the majority of the threads in this forum and many others to try and get this to work. I am at my wits end as I was just trying out Ubuntu for the first time 10.04. I ran:~$ dmesg | grep -e ndis -e wlan and below is what I came up with.
Hi all, I tried installing Ndiswrapper to get wireless. My wireless did not connect successfully, so I uninstalled Ndiswrapper. After I did that and rebooted, there is no longer a wireless device in /etc/network/interfaces or in ifconfig. How can I reinstall my networking device?
I've been waiting for a solution to be eventually downloaded with system updates, but then I found this:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...r/+bug/1132511
Where the poster days SourceForge.net had a newer version of ndiswrapper that seemed to solve his problem.
Hi,everybody.
I have a Ubuntu box and a damn small linux laptop,I have installed ndiswrapper on Ubuntu by using apt-get.And I wanna install ndiswrapper on my laptop too,but it doesn't have a network adapter(so it can't connect to the internet).
Then I copied /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper and /etc/ndiswrapper to my laptop, when I ran ndiswrapper on my laptop, following error message appeared:
Can not find
Actually you are using TESTING so this thread should go there.
Hi all!
I'm having a tough time installing my wireless network card on Ubuntu. I have been following this how-to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...er/Ndiswrapper
I have installed ndiswrapper and ndisgtk.
I have an issue with wifi in ubuntu 10.10:
Wifi works fine for a while (anything from 1 minute to a day), until it locks up and disconnects.
I have had this problem on 2 separate systems - one with a built-in realtek wifi which I have cured by using ndiswrapper.
