I am creating a wifi hotspot. It does connect with adhoc connection but that my android doesnot detect.
When i select security type to WPA & WPA2 Personal. It keeps connecting and never connects.
Why it only connect to adhoc and not with WPA ?
any solution?
I have an Eye-Fi card for my camera. i can set it up to offload images from my camera to my home PC over a WiFi hotspot.
So I can use it with built-in tethering, but it will relay all those pics over my mobile data plan- not ideal.
BUT I might be somewhere with WiFi Access.
I'm using a Mobile Broadband device/ usb modem to connect my computer to the Internet. When I was using Windows 7, I made my laptop a Wifi hotspot, so I could surf internet on my iPod touch . Now I have moved to Ubuntu 12.04. I read the tutorials and did everythig I could and finally ended up with creating an ad-hoc network..
I have 2 wireless cards, internal & usb wifi. I am connected to the internet with my USB Wifi which means that my internal wifi is idle all the time. I want to hook up my ps3 to the net as well, but ps3 doesn't see the internet signal also it is too far to drag an ethernet cable from the router to the ps3. Thus I want to share via my laptop.
