wifi connected but gmail & anroid market sites not work

I'd like to use my gmail account connected via exchange activesync. I set that up with various email apps and it works nicely.

The only problem is that I don't use my gmail address as my known email address. I have an alias that points to gmail.

I am having the weirdest problem... I have a work laptop (running Fedora 16) that has connected to my works wifi and ethernet without any problems. I have also connected to the wifi at my girlfriends place without problems. Right now I am at my place and at a total loss for words. I have connected to my home network via wifi and Ethernet... (obviously not both at once).

Okay so I'm connected to neighbors wifi on my note 2 but have limited access on all of windows PCs. I think they restricted me or something? Any way my phone works so how do I share my phones WiFi Internet connection with my PC?

Idk if they changed the band but I have n adapters on my PCs idk why it still works on my phone.

i have ubuntu 12.04. And my problem is that the wifi is disabled. It says that the wifi hardware is disabled and it does not switch on when i switch on the wifi . The control always shows that wifi is switched of. The same computer has windows too and my wifi works just fine in it.

Hi experts, I need your help. I am presently using a Blackberry and my mails are pushed when I am connected to the phone network. I travel a lot and am trying to avoid roamimg costs. I am looking to buy the Samsung Galaxy S2 and I have opened a Gmail account.

My question is: Can I set up my mails so that when I am getting Wifi, they are transferred that way.

I have a scenario in which i am sending requesting using Device WiFi. In this scenario WiFi is connected but WiFi further is not connected to internet and in this case i send HTTP request but the response of HTTPResonse is very slow in this case.

I am connected to a router by wifi or lan. But every few moments (sometimes seconds, sometimes half an hour) my connection to the internet breaks down. So in one moment I can surf with my firefox and have ping times of 20 ms (wifi) to the google server. And in the next moment I can't open any pages in any browser and the ping shows no new messages first and then "Destination Host Unreachable".

It must be a dumb statement - a mobile that is connected to the internet via wifi cannot be a hot spot; only mobile connected with data connection can do it. Just want a confirmation from gurus for a peace of mind.:confused:

To explain, I'm a university student who uses the VPN to access sites like Nature, PhysicsToday, etc. I have this VPN working on Windows 7 and I've got access to nearly every journal. However on my Ubuntu 12.04 partition I'm able to connect to the internet (in fact I'm typing this while connected through the VPN presumably) but journals have locked me out.
