Hi,
My machine has 3 Ethernet Controllers, one of the controller is not configurable.
I follow the steps mentioned in many blog but my wifi AP is not scanned by my phone.
My system config:-
Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit
00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge (rev 93)
00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation ICH9M LPC Interface Controller (rev 03)
04:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation WiFi Link 5100
08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corpora
I'm having trouble enabling the wireless adapter on my Acer after installing Fedora.
Here's my card's info:
Code:
Broadcom Corporation Netlink BCM57785 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe (rev 10)
I'm using Fedora 17.
Any insight on how to solve this or where to find more information is truly appreciated! Thanks!
Hello,I just installed Crunchbang on a new HP laptop:Linux pavilion 3.2.0-0.bpo.2-amd64 #1 SMP Fri Jun 29 20:42:29 UTC 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux At first there was no option in Network Manager for selecting the wireless network.
I just fixed my broken system, due to forcing glibc update. After that, Arch couldn't detect my wifi chip, so I decided to reinstall the driver again.$ lspci -vnn | grep 14e409:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Broadcom Corporation NetLink BCM5906M Fast Ethernet PCI Express [14e4:1713] (rev 02)0c:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN [14e4:4311] (rev 01)Fir
Today I downgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 to 9.04 because of easy gdm themeing availabe in 9.04. The OS is installed on my external hard disk (320.1 GB).After installing the first problem I noticed was that my wireless card was not getting detected and my Broadcom Ethernet controller was also not being detected.
Ok so i'm completely new to linux in every way possible. I thought i would give linux a try since there was no reason not to. Usually i can pick up on things and resolve them on my own but this isnt my usual. So i have installed mint 8 on my macbook pro. But i cant seen to get audio working or the backlight on the keyboard. Also my usb wifi adapter based on the rt3070 chip.
Hi, I'm currently running 9.04 on my Dell inspiron 8500 and everything worked out of the box. But when I tried 9.10 from a USB stick I did not get the wifi (even the diodes on the 3COM card did not light up, although ubuntu detected the hardware).
Any suggestions ?
