Ages ago my wireless stopped showing on the Networking applet and no longer worked rfkill list displayed resulsrs for Bluetooth and WiFi.
At first I installed 32bit ubuntu 12.10 & struggled much setting the WiFi by help of so many answer here then I thought to install 64bit as my system is of 64bit. At the installation time itself I couldn't find any WiFi name listed & I connect through wire.
I have a Dell Vostro 1700 with the Broadcom BCM4312 card (obviously). Running 10.04.
Earlier today the wireless was working fine, then after a reboot, it stopped.
I disabled bluetooth from bluetooth tray menu (unity), then bluetooth was disabled, and wireless disabled too. I can't enable bluetooth and wireless again. It said:
bluetooth is disabled by hardware switch
wireless is disabled by hardware switch
I checked BIOS, no bluetooth, wireless option.
FN+F2 doesn't work.
sudo rfkill unblock all doesn't work.
I recently installed Ubuntu 12.10 on my Asus Zenbook (UX32a core i3 variant) and everything seems to be working out of the box. Except for my wireless.
I've checked Enable Wireless but it still states that it's disabled.
I have a Dell E6400 latitude, BCM4312 WiFi card, have tried just about everything to get it to work, but it won't.. At first modprobe b43 did it, I had wifi, rebooted, and it was gone. Ever since, with the b43 driver loaded, ifconfig -a shows a wlan0 device, with MAC address which seems to be correct, but I can not use it.. Any help? OS is Kubuntu 11.04
I am trying to get the bluetooth on my Dell studio xps 1640 to work on Ubuntu 12.04 64bit. I have installed and reinstalled bluez, but to no success. The card is a Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Internal card. This card appears to be certified for Ubuntu 12.04. The card does work in Windows, and I have installed the Windows driver.
Installed 12.04 on dell inspiron 5420. wired connection is working however wifi and bluetooth connection does not work. In fact I can't see wlan0. Can I know the correct driver to install?
I have a problem connecting my Dell Vostro 1520 to the Internet by Wireless.
