ugh i don't know what heck happen yesterday afternoon
ya see i don't use data mobile when i turn on wifi the 4g symbol suppose to show up usually when i'm out in town i turn off wifi anyways after i turn off wifi after haircut 4g symbol was there then i was in the car turn on wifi then it disappear i thought that's not good i connect at home 4g is gone forever
the only time i get notifications for the majority of my apps is if i connect to wifi. even after ive already opened the app and seen what was sent or whatever, i get a notification hours later once i connect to wifi.
i have no problems getting text and email notifications. but facebook, twitter, shapchat, and some others only notify me if im connected to wifi.
Someone started a thread a while back on this, but I wanted to start my own hoping that this issue may get a little more attention, and keep a detailed thread for future use. I love this phone, but this is the one significant issue that I have.
I spend most of my day and evening on wifi since I have it available at work and home.
ok so today i turned on my laptop which has ubuntu12.10 but updated the internal version to ubuntu13.10 through software updater in it so yesterday i had few updates and i installed updated i dont remember which ones but now the wifi symbol on the upper right corner of the screen where the volume bar is, is gone and so is the volume symbol but volume symbol still comes with few dashes and you can'
I am not receiving notifications for FB, twitter, Gmail etc when I am connected to mobile data. However as soon as I go home and connect to WIFI my phone goes nuts and all my notifications come through at once. It's affecting my pebble as I'm not getting notifications on that either until I am on WIFI
please help. .. its driving me nuts :(
Please help me im a complete linux noob and have spent the last 5 days working on getting wifi to work. I know a few commands but im not entirely sure what to do. My network Manager sees my home router but when I click to connect the wifi symbol in system tray pulses repeatedly and will switch back over to ethernet symbol.
