This is the oddest thing I've ever seen. When I take a screenshot of a window or my desktop, I instead receive an older copy of the window or screenshot. What I mean, is that once I take a screenshot using gnome screenshot tool, I will forever get that screenshot when I try and take another. I'm running with the open drivers, under and amd/ati card.
Hi all, I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 on my eeepc and everything is going fairly well. my major problem at this point is mostly an aesthetic one, though it could also be causing some of the lag in unity. When I call the dash with the super button, it's supposed to spring up instantaneously, or so i'm told. mine takes about two seconds, so i thought i would remove the dash blur to speed things up.
For some applications, dash search comes up empty when searching by the application's full name. When typing the first couple of letters, it works. I wonder why...
MuseScore is a fine example. When I search for "muse" in the dash search, MuseScore is found. When I search for "musescore", nothing is found.
This behavior makes me distrustful of the dash search...
Using N4 with 4.2.1
When I use the built in screenshot (power button + holding volume down) - the screenshot looks awesome. But when I send it as an mms to my friend (who also has the exact same phone) the picture is significantly degraded.
The same happens when he sends me a screenshot.
Is this an issue with my MMS settings?
This was working OK previously but now no applications appear when running a search in the Dash or even show when first opened, it just shows recent files and downloads. If I type 'terminal' for example, it says "sorry, there is nothing that matches that search". I had installed some printer drives and stuff for KDE/plasma yesterday, could that be the problem?
Hello all. A few days ago, I noticed that the Dash in Ubuntu 12.04 is not getting any applications I ask it to. For instance, I'll open the Dash by hitting the Windows key. I'll try to search for "Firefox", but it lists Files and Folders. I'll even trying going into the Applications menu, but no applications are being listed.
I'm running Ubuntu 11.10. When I attempt to use the dash to search for an application immediately after log in, the search is unresponsive.
I recently downloaded and installed LÖVE (note the special character). If I type L in the dash, it is nowhere to be found. EVEN if I just launched LÖVE from the launcher, it does not show up in the "recent apps" section of the dash.
Is there an issue with apps with special character/the dash??
A few days ago i went from Ubuntu 12.10 to 13.04 Beta. It was though getting things running since my system is kind of messy. One of the problems i have run into:
The backround of my dash looks glitched, and anytime i type or scroll in dash it 'blinks'.
The power pop-up menu thats new to 13.04 has a similair problem. It looks to bright, you cant read any letters.
