Not sure if SpiderOak has been discussed in the past, but I just stumbled across it in the web as another free (up to 2 GB) online backup similar to dropbox. I just installed it on my netbook and does not seem to use much system resources.Anyone else using it?
So openSUSE 11.3 comes with the SpiderOak client ready to install from the repos.
If you haven't seen it, SO is an online backup and sync service, the big advantage compared to competing services like Dropbox is the zero-knowledge approach: everything is encrypted right on your machine, all they can know is how much data you are saving.
A lot of people use cloud storage systems like Dropbox, Spideroak or Ubuntu One, these software allow you to store your files on a remote server (on the clouds) and be able to access them on all your devices: computers with Linux,mac or Windows and also from tablets and smarthphones.
