Why Linux? Reasons for switching from Windows

Dear Ubuntu, I'm an average user who doesn’t have any special programming skills and/or knowledge in the OS area, but I'm still able to work my way and do what I have to do when I have to do it with computers.

actually my office is going to buy bulk no of desktop pc's (for developmental purposes) . i encouraged them to buy pc without os and then install linux . My colleagues are agree with me but they are not a regular user of any linux based os so they want to choose a linux os which is best and user friendly i suggested "UBUNTU"

and i want some data to prove myself
