Xfce is a lightweight desktop environment for UNIX-like operating systems. It aims to be fast and low on system resources, while still being visually appealing and user friendly.
I don't know about everybody else, but I sure do miss the XFCE edition. I'm still running the last one you ever did because I love #!, but I'm not a huge fan of Open/Black/Fluxbox. I've tried other XFCE distros (and even put XFCE on my #!), but it's just not the same.Anybody with me?

If you’re not happy with the default desktop environment (Unity shell on GNOME3) in Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal), then you can try installing some alternative desktop such as MATE, Cinnamon, KDE etc or a lightweight desktop environment such as XFCE.
