Why DRDY ERRs Slow down boot time?

http://stackoverflow.com – I am on a Mac, with Debian installed. Anyways, when I boot, I get a bunch of DRDY Errors. However, it says the errors are on sda2, but my root partition is on sda5, and sda2 is not mounted at boot. If I try fsck on sda2, it pauses for about a minute, and then gives this error: root@debian:~# fsck /dev/sda2 fsck from util-linux 2.20.1 e2fsck 1.42.5 (29-Jul-2012) fsck.ext4: Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read while trying to open /dev/sda2 Could this be a zero-length partition? When I 1st installed, there were no errors, and took about 20 secs to boot, but now boot ti (HowTos)
