Hey guys,
I'm running 10.04 on my laptop and the flash is causing me quite a bit of grief. Whenever I watch a few flash videos on YouTube or iPlayer the video will become slow and choppy and the flash itself will become unresponsive. After I close Chromium (or FireFox) I'll find my system becomes noticeably slower to the point I have to restart my computer to make it usable.
I'm running 12.04 and have a problem with the new version of the RTE player, which uses Flash. I've tried Chrome, Firefox and Opera, but all hit the same problem.
So for awhile now when I try to play youtube videos in full screen, it's choppy and lagged. Impossible to watch.
I have read around, and none of the solutions fix my problem, most are windows based. The one where you go into the plugins settings and disable one of the flash, well I only have one flash available.
Can't find anymore information.

Hello all, I am having a rather frustrating time with this issue. Here it goes. I have upgraded to Ubuntu 12.10 and can now no long play videos on Amazon Instant Watch. I have libhal1 and hal installed, and my version of Flash Player is current. When I attempt to play a video, the space where it should be playing is black. This is a problem across all browsers I tried, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera.

I installed the drivers following Ubuntu Documentation.
Exactly what it says on the tin.I've been encountering this error lately, especially when I try to run stuff with Wine. Doesn't matter if it's older stuff (RPG Maker games) or newer (World of Warcraft) ...
First, i havent used linux for 4-6 years. Im pretty noob to all the new stuff.
I have latest ubuntu, with all the updates. And 1.4 wine.
I have pre-installed WoW, on my windows partition. Im trying to run it with Wine, but the performance is really poor, and im low on colors.
I have an acer Travelmate 5520 with this graphics card in it. My problem is that i cant get it to function properly. I have installed the latest ati drivers for linux from ati's website but everything connected to the graphics seems to lag a whole lot. Compiz fusion and desktop graphics is very slow and laggy. I also tried to play some windows games through wine but they also lag a whole lot.
