I'm using Samba 3.x in my network.
I've created a new share directory under /share/docs (0777) for now.
There are two groups who should access this directory (students and teachers).
The students should put their docs in that directory
And the Teachers should be the only one which would be able to read those docs and modify them.
* The students should not be able to read other students d
So I have samba setup and running on my Ubuntu box. I've successfully logged in on my WinXP machine, and was able to browse my home directories but an unable to create files, folders, etc. No write access.
In my samba config, I have set the this line read only = no, thus granting access to write to my home directories.
