The ubuntu-12.04-desktop-i386.iso will not work with my processor.
Which Ubuntu 12.10 image do I need to download for installation on a computer with an AMD 2650e processor. The version for most Intel/AMD x86 based computers will not work. There is something unique about this processor. If there is no Ubuntu 12.10 yet available for my needs, could you tell me which alternate download of Ubuntu 12.04 I need. Thanks in advance. P.A. So, I have an ACER Aspire 5515 with Windows 7 Ultimate installed. I have an AMD Athlon(tm) Processor 2650e 1.60 GHz processor. 1 GB RAM, with a 160 GB HDD.
So here's what I did:
I parititioned my hard drive. I have three partitions: a 10 GB hidden partition (for my bios), a 69.5 GB C:/ partition (holds my windows OS), and finally, a 69.5 GB partition that I used to install Ubuntu 12.10.

According to the help section, I should choose the 64 bit version of Ubuntu unless I have a reason not to, but according to the download page, the 32 bit version is recommended. Assuming I have a 64-bit processor and less than 4 gigabytes of RAM, which of these should I choose?
Now when i tried to download Ubuntu for win7 installer, it gave me an iso with "amd64" in it, assuming that it's based on the processor, so i decided to check for any other downloads and found "i386", which i guess its for well, i3 processors, and decided to download it instead since i use i5, but the question is: What is the difference between those two ISOs?
I have an Acer Aspire 5515 Notebook that has an odd issue with what I beleive to be a USB issue with Ubuntu 9.10

This doesn't look right. Also, XP reports it as .999.
Hi Guys,
I have a AMD Semperon LE-1300 processor. Linux is saying I only have 1.006 GHz when my processor is capable of 2.3 GHz. HOW DO I FIX THIS!?!?!?
I used the command cat /proc/cpuinfo to see if it was an application that was manipulating the speed of my processor. and I got this:
Code:
