You could try to make sense of CONFIG_SND_KCTL_JACK.

Maybe TERM is set wrongly in bash?
See the countless previous font threads. Check your DPI, install Infinality packages (if you want the best rendering), experiment with fontconfig rules.
If you want state-of-the-art font rendering in openjdk, use bohoomil's font packages (freetype, cairo, fontconfig), and the openjdk font patch (screenshots).
